Below are answers to common questions or concerns our clients may find themselves asking.

A 50% deposit of the total price of the trip is required upon booking of trip, and the remaining 50% upon arrival. If you need to cancel your drip for any reason, you must do so 14 days before your scheduled charter date in order to receive your full deposit back.

We have a limited supply of children’s lifejackets, it’s recommended that you bring your own. Children 16 and under must have a life jacket. Call ahead if your child will need a lifejacket. 

Items you might consider bringing along include: food, snacks, drinks (sodas, water, beer, etc.), Camera, and sunscreen.

All live bait, ice, fishing gear, including rod and reel, are included. You are more than welcome to bring your own rod and reel if preferred.

A fishing permit is required for all customers and must be purchased before hand. Don’t have a permit, they are available through the Department of Wildlife and Fisheries.

If weather is expected to be unfavorable during your charter please contact Backwater Charters to reschedule for a later date.
